Pre-production

This stage naturally leads from the consultancy section.  It includes all of the storyboarding, casting, location scouting, scripting, deciding on which crew to book, kit to use, when to shoot, when the video should be delivered etc.

Production

This is generally where most money is spent but should be a really relaxed time because all of the hard work was done in preproduction!  This is the actual shoot with cameras on location or in a studio etc.

Post Production

Once all of the rushes have returned to the studio, now is the time for the edit, the music, voice over, graphics and completing the video project.  It is the time that each of the videos are reviewed and signed off, including multiple edits for different channel use, ad types etc.

It doesn't all need to be big cameras

Production is only a part of what Mascot Video is about, but it is a fun part.  Sam Howson has years of experiencing working on big budget productions for National Geographic and commercials and digital for Amani, Red Bull, Which, as much as working with young people to send in user generated videos for Under Armour or GirlGuiding.  Mascot Video wants to use the right people and kit for the job and for your budget.  Digital doesn't require all the biggest cameras in fact very often the opposite is true.  Throughout the consultancy stage we consider what do we want to achieve together and setting realistic KPI's determine what goes into the production stage.  You'll be surprised at how cost effective Mascot Video can be.
